RT-qPCR analysis of (A) Tnf-α, (B) IL-6, (C) Il-1β, (D) iNos, (E) and Arginase mRNA expression from P28 cortices of C57Bl/6J mice exposed to vehicle or TCDD during gestation and lactation. mRNA expression was normalized to the expression of three reference genes, Gapdh, β-Actin, and Eif2b1. For all genes, TCDD-exposed mice had significantly increased expression compared to their vehicle-exposed equivalents (n = 16–19 animals per group). When analyzed by sex, only TCDD-exposed male mice exhibited a significant increase in gene expression for all cytokines tested (n = 6–11 animals per group). *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001 vs. vehicle.
