The inhibitory effect is expressed as the percentage of remaining activity (%) ± standard deviation, after 5-min pre-incubation in the absence of cofactor. n = 2, technical replicates for each isoform. Standard activity was measured at saturating concentrations of hexanal in the corresponding reaction buffer, containing 2 mM ATP and concentrations of the corresponding cofactor near Km values.
