Fig. 2 — The flow from FAIR Genomes schema development to interoperable systems. The community can focus their efforts on defining a metadata schema. The resulting schema then feeds into a software generator that takes care of the required EDC blueprints, semantic resources and documentation. As a result, the community benefits from systems that are directly interoperable and ‘FAIR at the source’.
