In the MIND-USA trial159, the efficacy of the antipsychotics haloperidol and ziprasidone was compared to placebo for the treatment of delirium in critically ill patients. There was no significant association between study drug (the atypical antipsychotic ziprasidone, the typical antipsychotic haloperidol or placebo) and days free from delirium or coma (part a), days with delirium (part b) or days with coma (part c).
