Average Fmax and Wadh values for (a) HMDA and (b) HMDcA hydrogel brought into successive contacts with a borosilicate glass after equilibration at pH 3 (1st contact), basic pH (2nd contact at pH 9 and 8.5 for HMDA and HMDcA, respectively) and finally at pH 3 for up to 48 h.
