  • Using SBLa supported by technology to stimulate CTb, clinical decision-making, analytical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, reflective thinking, diagnostic reasoning, or clinical judgement in educational/institutional contexts.

  • SBL supported by technology, including manikin-based, virtual reality, online virtual simulation, augmented reality, or computer-based simulation.

  • SBL that does not use technology.

  • SBL using technology but not related to CT or similar concepts.

  • SBL in clinical practice not related to education.


Design (D)

  • Studies with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods design.

Evaluation (E)

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students’ perspectives and experiences regarding the use of technology in SBL to stimulate CT or similar concepts.

  • Nurse educators’ perspectives and experiences regarding the use of technology in SBL to stimulate CT.
