This radargram shows the full crystallizing sill perched within the porous firn beneath the ice slab and resting on a base of impermeable meteoric ice. The water table is marked by a strong, horizontal, subsurface reflection below which no structure is visible due to the high attenuation. A clear split in the water table is visible directly beneath the double ridge. The surrounding region of low reflectivity is the refrozen ice shell.
