Effects of BSO and NAC on GPx1 expression in CA1 neurons under physiological- and 3 day-post-SE conditions. Under physiological conditions, BSO increases GPx1 expression, while NAC does not affect it, as compared to vehicle (Veh). Three days after SE, BSO aggravates SE-induced CA1 neuronal death accompanied by the reduced GPx1 expression. NAC attenuates SE-induced CA1 neuronal loss and decreased GPx1 expression.
