Alcohol exposure and iron supplementation modestly elevate MDA content in maternal and fetal liver. MDA content was quantified in maternal (a) and fetal (b) livers at gestational day 20.5. n = 8–9 litters per group, sampling 1 dam, 1 male, and 1 female per litter. Data points (black dots) show results for individual animals, while bars show group means ± standard error. For fetal liver, male and female data were combined because there was no effect of sex.
