Opposite effects on eating behavior of the two zones of the balance of substrates may, in part, explain why exercise targeted toward fat oxidation induces weight loss [30,344]), while short bouts of exercise targeted toward higher intensities in the zone of predominant oxidation of CHO may induce overeating and paradoxical weight gain [345].
