 Xingyu Huashi recipe (mixture of 8 herbs) decoction, one dosage/day, divided into two times, orally, for two months; hypoglycaemic drugs: gliclazide plus captopril and alginric sodium diester, gliclazide 80‐240 mg/day, captopril 12.5‐75 mg/day, alginric sodium diester 150‐300 mg/day.
Control intervention: 
 gliclazide, 80‐240 mg/day orally, captopril 12.5‐75 mg/day, and alginric sodium diester 150‐300 mg/day orally, for two months.
