Aged controls (Aged CON) had higher levels of IL-6 relative to young controls (Young CON) and aged mice in the exercise groups (A). Brain levels of IL-1β were elevated in the aged short-term exercise (Aged ST Ex) mice relative to young controls and aged long-term exercise (Aged LT Ex) mice (B).
