Proposed molecular regulation of infection-induced periostial hemocyte aggregation. Infection induces the aggregation of hemocytes in the periostial regions of the heart. This process is positively regulated by the IMD and JNK pathways, thioester containing proteins (TEPs) and nimrod family proteins (Eater and Draper), and is negatively regulated by caspar, puckered and TGase3.
