Mean BMD of the study population (a) as well as mean BMD of patients with and without incident fractures (b). Mean BMD was significantly (p < .0001) higher in the control group (123.9 ± 28.8 mg/cm3) compared to the fracture group (76.3 ± 18.7 mg/cm3). BMD, bone mineral density
