NETs are present in a thrombus from a pediatric stroke patient. Thrombus was collected via thrombectomy and processed for histology. Neutrophils were identified by myeloperoxidase (MPO). NETs were identified by colocalization of MPO (red), citrullinated histone H3 (H3cit; green), and DNA (DAPI; blue). See text for staining.
