2-cell embryos were cultured either without any treatment (Control) or after removal of ZP (ZP−). Some 2-cell stage blastomeres were tagged with CM-DiI without removing the ZP (DiI). Others were tagged with DiI and the ZP removed (DiI/ZP−).
