Characteristics of household indexes | With secondary transmission (n = 11) | Without secondary transmission (n = 16) | p-value* |
---|---|---|---|
Median age (rang), years | 42 (35–50) | 43 (30–51) | >0.05 |
Gender | |||
Female | 1 | 5 | >0.05 |
Male | 10 | 11 | |
Clinical severity | |||
Symptomatic cases | 8 | 10 | >0.05 |
Asymptomatic infections | 3 | 6 | |
RT-PCR median Ct value (IQR) | |||
N gene | 23.1 (21.7–26.4) | 27.1 (22.4–29.1) | <0.05 |
ORF1ab gene | 23.2 (21.1–27.9) | 29.1 (23.0–31.2) | <0.05 |
Ct, cycle threshold; IQR, inter quartile range.
Categorical variables (gender and clinical severity) were compared by the Fisher's exact test, and continuous variables (median age and RT-PCR median Ct value) were compared by Mann–Whitney U-test.
