Hepatic LC3 overexpression in murine fibrosis is associated with miR-29a release in the serum. After 4 weeks of CCl4 intoxication fibrosis was developed, and total RNA was isolated from both liver and serum samples of CCl4-treated mice (n = 6) or control mice (n = 6). Liver and serum miR-29a levels were quantified by real-time PCR (A).
