Large field-of-view, multiregion 2P imaging. (a) FOV available in conventional 2P systems are often confined to , which is smaller than many cortical areas. Larger FOVs (2-mm diameter, or the 5 x 5 mm region of the Diesel2p system410 provide optical access to multiple cortical areas simultaneously. (b) Neuronal activity can be monitored across these FOVs through rapid beam steering and/or multiplexed beams.
