Term 1 had 19 students enrolled and Term 2 had 1–3 students enrolled at the start of the term. n = total number of student responses for each question or total number of students completing both the first and second midterm exam, excluding visiting and graduate/post-baccalaureate students. SD = standard deviation. Summative exam performance represents the average percent correct in the class for the questions analyzed. Mann U Whitney tests were used to compare responses between groups. P values are shown for each category. Bold categories were statistically significantly different between the groups.
