Values are presented as mean ± SD. Statistical differences were analyzed using Tukey's post-hoc test after performing a one-way ANOVA. Values with the same letter were not significantly different (p > 0.05), while values with dissimilar letter were significantly different (p < 0.05). Peak twitch response (Pt) and maximal isometric contraction force (P0) were measured by ex vivo direct electric stimuli (0.2 ms, 30 V). Measured P0 was normalized to PCSA to determine specific force (specific P0).
