The scaffold precursors were designed with adenine and thymine functionalized heparin on CNTs backbone respectively, which are accessible for conjugating via specific nucleobase pairing in aqueous environment. Heparin was able to provide stabilization of BMP-2 activity and prolonged delivery via affinity interaction.
