Household variables extracted from DHS
Wealth index EDHS categories were given based on the number and kinds of consumer goods the households owned ranging from a television to a bicycle or car, in addition to housing characteristics such as a source of drinking water, toilet facilities, and flooring materials. We recategorized the poorest and poorer households were categorized under “Poor” wealth status, middle as “Middle” wealth status, and those richer and richest were categorized under “Rich” households. 0.
