In T. aestivum, k_close was kept constant at 4 min and k_open was varied from 4 to 0.5 (A), or k_open was kept constant at 4 min and k_close was varied from 4 to 0.5 (B). In E. coracana, k_close was kept constant at 0.5 min and k_open was varied from 0.5 to 4 (D), or k_open was kept constant at 0.5 min and k_close was varied from 0.5 to 4 (E). k_open and k_close were simultaneously varied from 0.5 to 4 and 4 to 0.5 in T. aestivum (C) and E. coracana (F), respectively.
