In the charging case, the neoprene is initially filled with nitrogen (to approximate air) at atmospheric pressure and is placed in a pure atmosphere of Ar at t = 0; in the discharging case the opposite is true, except the Ar is initially at 243 kPa (which is the pressure of the Ar atmosphere to which the neoprene is exposed).
