Total excess deaths were calculated by summing up excess deaths between March and December 2020. All external causes of deaths include transportation fatalities, other external causes of unintentional injury, suicide, homicide, event of undetermined intent, legal intervention and operation of war, complication of medical and surgical care, and sequelae of external causes of morbidity and mortality.
