The heart anatomy is shown along with representation of ten cycles of the cardiac signal with amplitude range × 1000 the neural signals (millivolt instead of microvolt). Notice the close location of chest implanted IPGs (C) to the heart, which may influence leakange of ECG artifacts into the neural signal. ECG artifact is avoided in skull mounted IPGs (a).
