Schematic of the automated continuous sampling setup for online monitoring of a chiral crystallization process. The setup consists of a crystallizer and an automated sampling loop; both are equipped with a thermostat to allow for independent temperature control. The sampling loop consists of a pump, a filter system, heated tube segments (1–5, tube-in-tube configuration), temperature and pressure transmitters (TT, psi), and a mass flow controller. Measurements are obtained using an ATR–FTIR spectrometer and a polarimeter.
