The estimate column indicates the expected increase in force (in nN) if the variable in that row increases by 1 μm2 (area) and/or 0.01 units of circularity or F-actin dispersion while all other factors remain constant. The standard error column indicates the error of that estimate. From these estimates and standard errors, p-values are calculated to determine what factors and interactions have a significant (p < 0.05) effect on force. In addition to these individual effects, pairs of effects were tested for interactions, where a positive value in the estimate column indicates a cooperative effect and a negative value an antagonistic effect.
