Upon illumination, the solution temperature increased from 25 to 90 °C via plasmonic heating (light source = 1 W at 532 nm, solution volume = 10 μL, [MPN] = 2.6 × 1011 particles/mL). (B) Temperature profile of MPN solution at different illumination wavelengths. Temperature increased rapidly when the illumination wavelength matched with the peak absorption wavelength of MPNs (535 nm). (C) Plasmonic thermocycling profile of MPN solution.
