SH-SY5Y cells treated with (A) H2O2 (132 µM) presented more DNA damage than the cells treated with (B) mirtazapine (20 µM). This damage was evidenced by the comet tails, which reflect more DNA damage. When the (C) combination of mirtazapine (20 µM) and H2O2 (132 µM) was applied to the cells, the DNA damage was attenuated, which was confirmed with the presence of lower intensity of comet tails (compared to H2O2 alone).
