The top of the figure shows a simple diagram of the protein with 1277 amino acids with the positions occupied by the two transmembrane domains (TMDs) and the two nucleotide-binding domains (NBD). The amino acids involved in drug binding deduced from the docking analysis of rat P-gp (Mdrlb) and LmrA are shown in the table. Amino acid sequences of rat Mdr1b and of Lactococcus lactis LmrA were obtained from the Swiss Prot database (access code: P43245) and UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot database (access code: P97046), respectively.
