The intracellular accumulation of AKT and PI3K was visualized using immunocytochemistry (ICC, a,b) and determined with Western blot (c). RT-qPCR (d–i) was used to establish mRNA levels for genes of interest. Densitometry measurements of membranes were performed to compare expression of proteins between EPCs non-OB and OB. The protein levels were normalized to β-actin /ACTB (e–i).
