PCYT2 splice variant expression in normal and breast cancer cells. MCF-10A control and MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells were grown in Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium, high glucose, supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 2% penicillin-streptomycin at 37 °C in a humidified, 95% air + 5% CO₂ atmosphere. Total RNA was extracted from the cells and converted into cDNA. Amplification of PCYT2 was done using variant-specific primers to show relative abundance of various PCYT2 mRNAs.
