Loss of P-cadherin does not affect development of acute DSS colitis but promotes post-colitis recovery. P-cadherin knockout (KO) mice and their control littermates (+/+) were subjected to acute DSS colitis (3% DSS in drinking water) for 7 days (A,B) or exposed to 3% DSS for 7 days and allowed to recover after DSS withdrawal (C,D).
