Effect of catalyst loading on the TON of scaffolded and unscaffolded reactions. 2-Napthalenemethanol was oxidized as in Figure 2, except that catalyst loadings were varied. Catalyst loadings indicate the mol % loading for bpy ligand, TEMPO, and copper(I). The fold increase in catalyst TON due to DNA scaffolding is indicated for each catalyst loading. Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation of 3 independent experiments.
