Concentration-versus-time profile of a single 0.5 µg/kg intravenous dose of dexmedetomidine administered to 10 anesthetized dogs. Dogs were premedicated with methadone intravenously, and anesthesia was induced with propofol and maintained with isoflurane in oxygen.
