The effect of fish oil (FO) supplementation on molecular targets in APOE4 and VCD-induced dysregulation. (A) Addition of FO supplementation increased BDNF levels in only APOE4 animals. (B) Increased Erβ expression observed in APOE4 VCD-treated animals was mitigated by FO supplementation. (C) Cldn1 was upregulated by VCD treatment; this expression was reduced across both genotypes through FO supplementation. (D) Expression of the fructose transporter Glut-5 was considerably increased in APOE4 animals compared to APOE3 and was partially recovered by FO treatment.
