BLASTp searches were performed using dictyBase. Human proteins were used as query sequences (E-value, 1; Matrix, BLOSUM62; Filter, no).

Sheikh et al. (2015) performed a similar analysis to show that CUL1 is most similar to CulA, CulE, and CulB, CUL3 is most similar to CulC, and CUL4B is most similar to CulD.
