Graphical description of the dependent process model (DPM)

(A) The DPM assumes that the state of an accumulating execution process at the time of the stop-signal determines the initial state of the braking process, making it more difficult to cancel actions closer to the execution boundary.

(B) Possible control mechanisms that could be altered by beta (20 Hz) and/or gamma (70 Hz) tACS stimulation. Adapted with permission from Dunovan and Verstynen (2019).
