Figure 4. Information collected from rare and undiagnosed disease research stakeholders to populate a Match Dashboard account.

Figure 4.

Upon creating a Match Dashboard account, users enter information about themselves and the human genes they are interested in. A) The -Profile- tab requires users to provide general information, including who they are, where they work (if applicable), and why they are interest in rare and undiagnosed diseases. B-B’) Upon clicking the “User Type” pull down menu in A) (blue arrow), users can select one or more user categories to which they feel they belong. C-C’) The -Match with Scientists- button in A) (orange arrow) will navigate the users to a tab to enter their human genes of interest to identify potential scientific collaborators. Upon entry, a table will be generated in the “Scientist Matches” box at the bottom of the -Match with Scientist- tab that lists all scientists who expressed interest in the same human gene or its ortholog candidates. Scientists who selected the specific gene as Public are identifiable whereas scientists who selected the gene as Restricted are displayed as an Anonymous Scientist.
