Illumination with WL for 30 min acidified the xylem pH of WT plants and SCR:PHOT1-complemented mutants, but not that of the phot1-5 mutant. The leaves of WT (Col-gl) plants, phot1-5 (Col-gl) mutants, and the SCR:PHOT1-complemented phot1-5 mutant (as in Figure 3) were illuminated with WL in the growth room (150–200 μmol m⁻² s⁻¹).
