Effect of baicalein on the H2O2- scavenging activity in vivo. The H2O2- scavenging activity decreased after administration of LPS (1 mg/kg, i.p.), as assessed using a luminol-amplified chemiluminescence test. Treatment with baicalein (3 mg/kg, i.p.) 1 h after LPS administration markedly increased the H2O2-scavenging activity. Data are presented as means ± SEM. (n = 6) ** p < 0.01.
