Naphthoquinone derivatives 9–16 are able to reduce viability in A549 non-small cell lung carcinoma cells in vitro in a concentration- and structure-dependent manner. The A549 cells were treated with compounds 9–16 and doxorubicin (DOX) for 24 h at concentrations of 0–200 µM and A549 viability was evaluated by using MTT assay. The data from viability is expressed as percent of viability calculated from an untreated control (UC). Data shown are mean ± SD values from three separate experiments for each group.
