Closed-system model results from 300 runs (with 31 outliers removed). Each color represents an individual run. Parameters were randomly seeded where applicable (Table 1), resulting in a wide range of system longevity and VBR ranging between ~10⁻²–10⁶. All modeled systems trend to zero (i.e., the finite DOM supply is consumed and the system loses viability).
