Droplet material properties are modulated by the droplet composition: the presence of LCDs and unstructured polyU results in liquid-like Dhh1 droplets, while the lack of LCDs and structured RNA lead to large fractions of dynamically arrested droplets. Droplets formed in the presence of enzymatically active DEAD-box ATPase Dhh1 remain liquid-like over days while the suppression of the enzymatic activity of Dhh1 leads to dynamic arrest and droplet solidification.
