The coefficients are obtained using six separate 2SLS IV regressions, and represent the effect of beliefs about $R_{0}$ on people’s willingness to wash their hands frequently. For each regression we restrict the sample to those with prior beliefs between 0 and 33, 33 and 66, and 66 and 100, respectively. Robust standard errors in parentheses (*** $p < 0.01$ , ** $p < 0.05$ , * $p < 0.1$ )
