The acoustic focus of the transducer is at a 40 mm axial depth. The Y-axis represents the lateral direction, which is along the width of the transducer. The Z-axis represents the elevational direction that is along with the height of the transducer array. (b). Schematic of the experimental PACT imaging setup. The fiber output and linear ultrasound transducer array are immersed in the water tank for light illumination and signal detection, respectively. 3D imaging is achieved through a motorized translation stage. The laser synchronously triggers the motor for scanning and the DAQ for sampling.
