Table 1.
Scoring system | Caspase concentration in 7th day after TBI | Spearman correlation test | |
---|---|---|---|
R | p = | ||
Glasgow Coma Score | Caspase-3 | −0.81 | 0.0001 |
Caspase-6 | −0.72 | 0.0014 | |
Caspase-8 | −0.65 | 0.0061 | |
Caspase-9 | −0.52 | 0.0402 |
Spearman's rank correlation was computed to assess the relationship between GCS and selected caspases concentration. There was negative correlation between caspase 3 (r (14) = −0.81, p = 0.0001), caspase 6 (r (14) = −0.72, p = 0.0014), caspase 8 (r (14) = −0.0.65, p = 0.0061) and caspase 9 (r (14) = −0.52, p = 0.0402) and the Glasgow Coma Score. BALF, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid; TBI, traumatic brain injury.
