Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization imaging mass spectrometry (MALDI-IMS) of different lipids in brain slices containing the NBM and cortical projections from aCSF (n = 8) and SAP-treated rats (n = 8) which show marked differences in the distribution of certain lipid species following the cholinergic lesion.
